A huge thank you to the little bakers who joined me today to make cinnamon swirl quick bread! These little cuties each created four mini loaves to take home and share with their families. The pictures truly say more than words!
Today we learned:
- How to fold wet ingredients into dry ingredients
- How to properly measure and level dry ingredients
- How to crack eggs
- The difference fresh farm ingredients, especially eggs, can make
- How to prepare and spray our pans
- How to make a delicious icing drizzle for the top
- How a commercial kitchen differes from our kitchen at home.
While the loaves baked, we enjoyed tasting bread I had prepared ahead of time and made icing together. The little bakers were also wonderful helpers when it came time to wash and dry dishes.
