The Art of Milling: A Heritage of Grains

Celebrate the warmth of the season at the BQHH with a hands-on holiday experience that brings together nostalgia, family, and the art of tradition. In this two-hour class, you’ll learn how to mill wheat into fresh flour using heritage techniques.

Participants may bring their own wheat or use locally grown Caldwell wheat provided at the class. Once milled, you’ll sift and package your fresh flour—perfect for a thoughtful, homemade holiday gift.

Those who register at least one week in advance will receive a personalized label featuring their family name; others will receive the Caldwell logo label as shown in the example. You’ll leave with beautifully packaged flour and the knowledge to continue milling at home. During your two-hour session, you can mill and take home as much flour as time allows.
