The K-State Extension Community Food Systems Team has extended the application deadlines for the 2026 Kansas Food Business Start-Up Summits, and we’d love your help connecting this opportunity with food and farm entrepreneurs in your network!
This year, we’re hosting two Summits:
- Hays Summit, June 9–10, has a new app deadline of May 18
- Lawrence Summit, August 4–5, has a new app deadline of July 6
As you may know, each Summit is designed to give early- to mid-stage food- and farm-based businesses dedicated time, peer connection, and practical guidance to move their businesses forward. We’re especially hoping to reach entrepreneurs who would benefit from structured planning support and trusted technical assistance.
If you’re willing, here are a few simple ways to help share the opportunity:
- Forward the attached one-pager to businesses you work with
- Include the opportunity in newsletters, listservs, or social media
- Personally encourage entrepreneurs in your network to apply
